Pre-construction meeting
Before the slab or foundation — plans and selections reviewed with your builder.
What matters right now
This meeting is where the plan you signed is confirmed against what will actually be built — catch mismatches before anything is poured.
Three things to focus on
Three questions to ask
- “Does the permitted plan include every structural option and rough-in I purchased?”
- “What is the schedule from here, and at which milestones may my inspector be on site?”
- “How will changes or field decisions be communicated to me in writing?”
Three things to check
- Plan set matches your signed contract: elevation, extensions, openings, garage, baths.
- Electrical and low-voltage plan shows the outlets, switches, and runs you ordered.
- Lot orientation, driveway location, and grading match what you were shown.
